HAPPY FREEDOM DAY!
(yes i made cupcakes. i had to do something. they are sad little things. ;____;)

because "Independence Day" sounds so serious and not fun at all. my friends and i always say "freedom day!" plus "Independence Day" reminds me about that movie with aliens and the soviets- i mean russians??? that i obviously wasn't paying much attention to when i saw it b/c i don't remember ANY OF THAT.

That and I've said "the fourth!" about 938934 times now. Even though I love saying it. Haha. /retarded

Personally, the 4th of July to me is like what Valentine's day is to single people. The anxiety of no one to spend it with (everyone at work or having other plans), to which I will try to do something to make me happy, and that usually means watching a happy movie and it always turns out to be really depressing anyway so in turn I get all depressed.

And I never eat hot dogs. What. We do that. What.
/ate toast last year, why is there never any food in my house on this day maybe I was a tory in a past life WHAT D:

Brittany and I are going to hang out and we're going to make the best of it. I just hope I don't drag her down with me. We're pretty bummed our other friend can't hang with us. orz

Haha, you are the first person i have heard saying "happy freedom day", sounds cooler actually. :DD //i wouldn't know anyway, since i am not from there, but i have heard a lot of fireworks and stuff, the whole sky is lit which sounds pretty epic.

yes there was a ton of fireworks. i like them the best about this day.

NO THEY ARE ADORABLE CUPCAKES and also IS THAT FUNFETTI I SEE? you should use red sprinkles and then it will be super patriotic

and eh I don't usually do anything for the 4th except bum around my family. my friends and I were gonna go to Navy Pier... except 1 million ppl to contend with = BIG NO
also it only just stopped raining which is good. I could almost imagine Alfred crying over how it feels like it's raining in his heart (drama queen x3)
OH but my dad is in Philadelphia! I'm kinda jealous 'cuz he said the fireworks last year were amazing le sigh!

I don't know anyone who eats hotdogs on the 4th. about the only thing I sometimes get is baskin robbins ice cream cake because my stepcousin's bday is also today

nope! though imma bit curious as to where you're seeing it whatever it is. i was actually going to do something more creative with the frosting but lack of funds caught me. otherwise i was longing for the sprinkles. xD

it is a pretty small town here so we all "go see the fireworks together" and that's it.

um, well, I guess that's just the cupcake filter-thingies you used? when you make funfetti it shows up as brightly-colored speckles in the cupcake base, but I guess you just used polka-dotted cupcake filters

he's suuuuch a drama queen
that's cool though. I really live in the suburbs so sometimes when a fair comes it's like that where I see people about

if only I was with her this year! unfortunately, unfortunately
you could have ice cream cake. I would just not recommend going outside because then you'd be cold x3
